THE PORT AUTHORITY

The Port Authority Music Export Academy is an accelerated online fellowship program designed to teach international students and professionals the ins-and-outs of the American Music Industry and establish entry points into the market. 

Created by Marauder, the authority on music export missions to the U.S. from around the world and taught by leading experts in the field, the academy provides real-world foundational instruction on the essentials while tailoring coursework to focus on developing export-ready ventures. 

Consisting of seven sessions over the course of six months followed by one-on-one mentoring sessions and ongoing support from Marauder’s extensive network of specialists, this opportunity is open to no more than fourteen students per semester. Participants will learn the basics of doing business in the US such as legalities, taxes, immigration and travel, and how to build and grow a U.S. team. Participants will delve into data for their projects, developing effective strategies for PR and media, digital marketing, fan engagement, touring, timeline planning, trade shows and conferences all while learning from the best in the business and engaging in peer review. 

At the end of the program, each individual will come away with an export plan that will serve as a tangible roadmap for American development plus a network of connections with alumni and professors that will continue long past the initial term.

You’re an international music business professional or student ready to break into the American market. You have a passion. You have a project that’s ready to introduce to an American audience but don’t know where to start. You need connections and you need a plan. 

That’s where the Port Authority Music Export Academy comes in. Marauder, the team that runs trade missions for government music export offices from around the world, created this program to give individuals access to programs that had previously only been available to restricted groups.

At the end of this accelerated course participants will walk away with a personalized US development plan and industry connections to last a lifetime.
